Slide(5) fromRemove plug (2) and coupling nut (6) fromcable (3).Push leads of cable (3) into grommet (4) untilcontacts (5) are fully exposed on other side ofgrommet. Clip or desolder leads fromcontacts. Use soldering gun. Discard contacts.Remove grommet (4) and retaining nut (1)from cable (3).CLEAN, INSPECT, AND REPAIR6.7.8.Check wire leads. Look for damaged insula-tion or broken wires. If wire leads have been taped together, remove tape. Scrape wire leadcovering with your thumbnail to see ifcovering peels off. Replace bad leads.Check contact pins, contact sockets, andterminals. Replace burned, bent, or brokenparts.Check shells, sleeves, and nipples. Replacecut, torn, or damaged parts.GO TO NEXT PAGE14-9
