Be sure to support plate properly to avoid injury to personnel.NOTEIf installing kit 57K0467, do Steps 1 - 10.If installing kit 57K0429, do Steps 11 - 19.Make sure armor plate mounting holes in hull are clean.1. Install trim vane hinge (1) on front left armor plate (2) with two screws (3), new lockwashers (4), washers (5), andbacking plate (6).2. Install trim vane strike (7) on front left armor plate (2) with two screws (8), washers (9), and backing plate (10).3. Install two track shoe brackets (11) on front left armor plate (2) with four screws (12), washers (13)(14), and newlocknuts (15). Use knife or chisel to remove foam on back of front left armor plate (2) so locknuts (15) can be attachedto screws (12).4. Install bracket (16) on front left armor plate (2) with four screws (17), washers (18)(19), and new locknuts (20).5. Install trim vane hinge (21) on front right armor plate (22) with two screws (23), new lockwashers (24), washers (25),and backing plate (26).6. Install bracket (27) to front right armor plate (22) with four screws (28), washers (29)(30), and new locknuts (31).7. Apply sealing compound to top surface of backing plate (32).8. Install latch stop (33) on power plant door armor plate (34) with two screws (35), new lockwashers (36), washers (37),and backing plate (32).9. Thread jam nut (38) on detent screw (39) to end of threads.0749 00-8
