REPLACE ENGINE EXHAUST PIPE GUARD (M548A1) -- Continued

INSTALLATION
1.
Mark exhaust pipe (1) 7 3/4 and 17 inches (19.68 and 43.18 cm) from the bottom.
2.
Install two bottom bracket clamps (2) just above the 7 3/4 inch (19.68 cm) mark.
3.
Install two top bracket clamps (2) just above the 17 inch (43.18 cm) mark.
NOTE
Be sure to install bracket clamps so that guard brackets are attached above top clamp and
below bottom clamp.
4.
Secure four bracket clamps (2) on exhaust pipe (1) with four screws (3), new lock nuts (4), and eight washers (5).
5.
Attach four guard brackets (6) to bracket clamps (2) with eight screws (7) and washers (8). Do not tighten screws.
6.
Slide guard (9) over exhaust pipe (1). Secure guard to guard brackets (6) with 8 screws (10), new lock nuts (11), and 16
washers (12).
7.
Tighten eight screws (7).
