REPLACE EXHAUST PIPES (M548A1) -- Continued

REMOVAL
1.
Loosen two clamps (1) that secure exhaust pipe extension (2) to exterior exhaust pipe (3). Remove extension.
2.
Remove top access cover and exhaust grille (WP 0383 00).
3.
Remove 6 screws (4), lock nuts (5), and 12 washers (6) that secure exterior exhaust pipe (3) and gasket (7) to power plant
bulkhead. Remove exhaust pipe. Discard gasket and lock nuts.
4.
Remove clamp (8) that secures left crossover pipe (9) to left engine manifold.
5.
Remove clamp (10) that secures right crossover pipe (11) to right engine manifold.
6.
Remove clamp (12) that secures interior exhaust pipe (13) to muffler (14).
7.
Remove left crossover pipe (9), right crossover pipe (11), and interior exhaust pipe (13) from power plant compartment.
