REPLACE HOSE FROM BULKHEAD CONNECTION TO RAMP CYLINDER — Continued

1.
Install nipple (1) in bulkhead. Secure with jamnut (2).
2.
Apply light coat of sealing compound to external tapered threads of elbow (3). Do not apply sealant beyond small end of
tapered threads.
NOTE
The M1064A3 ramp cylinder (4) has a nipple (5) installed instead of an elbow (3).
3.
Install elbow (3) or nipple (5) in ramp cylinder (4). Place clamps (6) on hose (7). Install hose (7) on elbow (3) or nipple
(5) and nipple (1).
NOTE
There are six clamps (6) securing hose (7) on the M1064A3 carrier, seven on all other carriers.
4.
Align clamps (6) with hull weldnuts. Secure with new lockwashers (8) and screws (9).
5.
Connect tube (10) to nipple (1).
