TM 9-2350-261-34 6.7.8.9.10.Remove locknut (1), two flat washers (2),and cap screw (3) that secure hook (4),spring (5), and two spacers (6) on cupolahatch. Discard hook. Keep all other parts.Place new hook (4), spring (5), and twospacers (6) on cupola hatch. Secure withtwo flat washers (2), cap screw (3), andlocknut (1) .Remove locknut (7) and flat washer (8) thatsecure bumper (9) and flat washers (10) tocupola hatch. Remove bumper and washers.Keep washers. Discard locknut.Place new bumper extension bracket (11) oncupola hatch with welded end up. Securewith new cap screw (12), flat washer (13),and locknut (14).Use flat washers (10), as needed, tocompress bumper 1/4 inch (6 mm) whencover is open and latched. Place flatwashers (10) and bumper (9) onbracket (11). Secure with flat washer (8)and new locknut (7).N O T EGun shields are large and bulky. Get anassistant to help you.11.12.13.14.15.Install curved doors (15) in guide channelsof shields (16 and 17). There are two doorsin each shield. Install four clips (18) tosecure doors open. Bend clips to turn freelyaround loop on doors.Place left and right shields (16 and 17) oncupola. Secure with two retained flatwashers (19), two cap screws (20), four flatwashers (21), four lockwashers (22), andfour cap screws (23).Remove two cap screws (24) andlockwashers (25) that secure plastic coveredstop (26) on machine gun support. Removestop. Discard stop, screws, and lockwashers.Place spacer (27) and bracket (28) onmachine gun support. Secure with twomachine screws (29).Install flat door (30) in slots in bracket (28).Install four hooks (31). Close hooks to forma chain from loop on door to loop onbracket..GO TO NEXT PAGE20-3
