INITIAL SETUP Tools: References: General Mechanics Tool Kit (Item 30, App D) See your -10 Materials/Parts: Equipment Conditions: Self-locking nut (2) Engine stopped/shutdown (see your -10) Spring pin Carrier. blocked (see your -10) Air cleaner housing and element removed Personnel Required: (page 7-7) Unit Mechanic Air control valve removed (page 7-11) 1 Remove two screws (1), locknuts (2), and range selector link (3) from arm (4) and transmission cross-shaft (5). Discard lock- nuts. 2. Remove spring pin (6) and arm (4) from range selector (7). Discard spring pin. CLEAN, INSPECT, AND REPAIR 3. Check arm (4) and link (3). Replace cracked, bent, or worn arm or link. INSTALL 4. 5. Secure arm (4) on range selector (7) with new spring pin (6). Install range selector link (3) on arm (4) and transmission cross-shaft (5). Secure with two screws (1) and new locknuts (2). GO TO NEXT PAGE 23-55
