Standclear before you lower roadarm.Start engine (see your -10). Place gearselector in R position. Slowly back carrieruntil lifter ( 1 ) is vertical and road wheel (4clears ground.Stop engine and lock steering laterals(see your –10).Block carrier (see your -10),7.8.1JW A R N I N GFailure to lock steering lat-erals and block the roadwheels can allow the carri-er to move and could resultin injury or death. Alwayslock steering laterals andblock road wheels before working on theearner.Remove eight locknuts (3) and washers (5)from road wheel (4).
