REPLACE PIVOT STEERING BRAKE ASSEMBLY (M548A1) -- Continued

INSTALLATION
NOTE
Clean threads. Put sealing compound sparingly on outside tapered threads at assembly.
1.
Secure two brake halves of each brake (1) with six washers (2), screws (3), and two tubing straps (4).
2.
Install four brake bleeders (5) in four elbows (6). Install four new preformed packings (7) and elbows in two brakes (1).
3.
Install new preformed packing (8) and elbow (9) in brake (1). Install new preformed packing and inlet tee (10) in brake.
Install tube (11) on inlet tee. Install brake crossover tube (12) on inlet tee and elbow (9).
4.
Install two brakes (1) on differential. Tighten six screws (3) to 100 to 110 lb-ft (136 to 149 Nm).
5.
Install elbow (13) on tube (11).
6.
Install new preformed packing (14) in quick disconnect coupler (15). Install coupler on hose (16) and elbow (13).
Connect quick disconnect coupler.
