REPLACE M8A3 NBC HOSES AND BRACKETS (M1059A3 ONLY) — Continued

12. Attach rubber cap (1) without center hole over unused outlet on air purifier (2).
13. Attach smoke generator operator’s hose (3) to air purifier (2) and tighten clamp (4).
14. Install two clips (5), two screws (6), and new lockwashers (7) to top plate behind smoke generator operator’s seat.
15. Route smoke generator operator’s hose (3) across top of transverse beam and attach to two clips (5).
16. Install two brackets (8), four screws (9) and new lockwashers (10) to vehicle top plate.
17. Install support (11), two screws (12), and new lockwashers (13) to vehicle top plate beside smoke generator operator’s
seat.
18. Install connector (14), screw (15), and new lockwasher (16) on support (11).
19. Route smoke generator operator’s hose (3) around two brackets (8) and insert end of hose in connector (14).
FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS
1.
Install power plant rear access panel (WP 0439 00).
2.
Connect battery ground strap (WP 0337 00).
3.
Start engine (see your -10).
4.
Raise and lock ramp (see your -10).
5.
Stop engine (see your -10).
6.
Check air flow of NBC system. Follow procedures in TM 3-6680-316-10.
