TM 9-2350-277-20-4 REPLACE/REPAIR RADIO OPERATOR’S SEAT (M981A3, M1068A3, AND M58 ONLY) — Continued 0568 00 WARNING Apply pressure on tube to prevent spring from releasing when handle is pulled out. Injury to personnel can result from flying tube and spring. 14. While pushing down on tube (9), pull out handle (10) and slowly allow spring (14) to expand. 15. Remove rod (11), tube (9), and spring (14), from pedestal (15). 16. Remove pin (16), handle (10), spring (17), and washer (18) from tube (9). ASSEMBLY 1. Install washer (18), spring (17), handle (10), and pin (16) on tube (9). 2. Install spring (14), tube (9), and rod (11) on pedestal (15). 3. Install tube (9). Push down on tube and lock handle (10) in the lowest position. 4. Hold rod (11) and install washer (13) and new locknut (12) on rod. 0568 00-4
