TEST AND INSPECTION
RAMP LOCK TEST
1.
Turn MASTER SWITCH ON. Start engine (see your -10).
2.
Raise and lock ramp (see your -10).
3.
With ramp up, ramp lock handle should latch tight. Swing handle forward until it clicks. If linkage is adjusted right, it
should take a good push to latch the handle.
4.
Check that top, sides, and bottom of ramp are aligned right.
NOTE
Ramp seal should be compressed enough to prevent water leakage, yet without metal-to-metal
contact between ramp and hull.
5.
If ramp handle will not latch or ramp does not seal, perform ramp seal test (Step 1) and adjust ramp lock (Step 1).
RAMP SEAL TEST
WARNING
Lowering ramp could injure personnel. Make sure no one is in ramp zone before you lower
ramp. If tactical situation permits, sound horn before dropping ramp.
1.
Lower ramp (see your -10).
