To chargedead batteries, see page 2-125.Before trying to charge batteries, do the following:a.b.Check batteries for broken case, broken cable, severe corrosion andother damage. Notify Organizational Maintenance if batteries aredamaged.Check electrolyte level (TM 9-6140 -200-14). Notify OrganizationalMaintenance if electrolyte is not at proper level. Park your vehicle close enough to supported vehicle so that slave cable canbe interconnected at slave receptacles of both vehicles.With brake depressed, place shift lever (1) in N (neutral) and set parkingbrake lock handle (2).To avoid personai injury and vehicle damage, turn OFFthe MASTER switch and all other electrical switches inboth vehicles.2-123
