There are limitations to the generator’s output,however. When your vehicle’s hydraulic system operates under load, the generator mayoccasionally switch off. This is only a temporary situation, and the generator wili automati-cally switch on when hydraulic pressure decreases.1. Park your vehicle close enough to the supported vehicle so that the slave ca-bie can be interconnected at the slave receptacles of both vehicles. if yourM992 is to support a self-propelled howitzer during conveyor operation, posi-tion your vehicle back-to-back with the howitzer and depioy the conveyor (p2-148).2. With the brake pedal depressed,parking brake lock handle (2).place the shift iever (1) in N (neutral) and setWARNINGTo avoid personai injury and vehicle damage, turn OFFthe MASTER switch and all other electrical switches inboth vehicles.3.
