INITIAL SETUP Tools Personnel Required: General Mechanics Tool Kit (Item 35, App B) Track Vehicle Repairer Torque Wrench (Item 112, App B) Helper (H) Torque Wrench (Item 117, App B) Transmission Hoisting Adapter References: (Item 1, App B) See your LO 63H10 Materials/Parts: See your -20 Antiseize compound (Item 8, App C) Equipment Conditions: Container, 1 quart (1 liter) Power plant removed from carrier Key washer (5) (see your -20) Sealing compound (Item 70, App C) Power plant blocked (page 3–2) Sealing compound primer (Item 74, App C) Self-locking nut (2) Self-locking nut (8) Self-locking nut REMOVE 1. NOTE If you need to replace the engine, transmission, or transfer gearcase, drain the oil from each BEFORE power plant is removed from carrier. Cap or cover openings where fuel, oil, or coolant lines or fittings have been removed. Remove two screws (1), locknuts (2), clamps (3), and power plant wiring harness (4) from cross–shaft bracket (5). Discard locknuts. 2. Remove screw (6), locknut (7) and governor lever (8) from bracket (9). Discard locknut. 3-4 Change 1
