TM 9-2350-261-20-2CLEAN, INSPECT, AND REPLACE5.Check cushions and spockets for wear anddamage. Replace if needed.INSTALL6.7.7.18.9.Place two cushions (1) on sprocket wheelcarrier (2). Center short flat areas betweenmounting holes in sprocket wheel carrierassembly rim. Press an cushion until firmlyseated against flange of sprocket wheelcarrier assembly.Place two sprockets (3) on sprocket wheelcarrier (2). Secure with twenty new lockbolts (4). Tighten lock bolts to 110-115lb-ft (149-156 N-m) torque. Use torquewrench.Install drive sprocket carrier (5) on vehicle.Secure with ten new lock bolts (6). Tightenlock bolts to 170-195 lb-ft. (231-264 N-m)torque User torque wrench.Mark sprockets (3) and cushions (1) for ro-tation check after road test.Place track (7) on drive sprocket carrier (5).FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS1.Connect track and adjust tension(see your -10).2.Install track shroud and covers (page 22-2).3.Road test carrier (page 2-101) to checkthat drive sprocket and carrier assemblyare installed properly.4.After road test, check rotation of cushionwith respect to sprockets. Measure from theouter edge of the cushion Replace cushionthat rotates beyond 1 1/2 inches (4 cm) ofinitial position.END OF TASKChange 422-31
