TM 9-2350-261-10ENGINE COOLANT HEATER KIT — ALL CARRIERS. Heats and circulatescoolant through the engine and battery box heat exchanger. After stopping a warmengine, the heater is started. It will keep engine oil, engine block, and batterieswarm for 12 hours and permit restarting engine. The coolant heater is mounted inthe power plant compartment. A coolant pump circulates coolant through tubing to the engine and battery box heat exchanger. The control box is mounted to the left ofthe driver. It has a three-position RUN-OFF-START switch, HI-LO switch, andindicator light. Coolant shutoff valves, at heater and engine block, control flow ofcoolant into heater.1-40
