TM 9-2350-287-20-1 4-25. PRIMARY FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT. This Task Covers: a. Removal b. Disassembly c. Cleaning and Inspection d. Assembly e. Installation Initial Setup: Tools/Test Equipment: Lockwasher (2) (Item 164, Appendix H) Drain pan (Item 14, Appendix I) Preformed packing (Item 226, Appendix H) General mechanic's tool kit (Item 24, Appendix I) Equipment Conditions: Vehicle parked on level ground (refer to Materials/Parts: TM 9-2350-287-10). Dry-cleaning solvent (Item 28, Appendix D) Right transmission access door opened (refer to Fluid filter element (Item 46, Appendix H) TM 9-2350-287-10). Gasket (Item 90, Appendix H) a. REMOVAL 1. Disconnect main fuel hose (2) at quick disconnect (3). 2. Open drain cock (5) and drain fuel from fuel filter assembly (6) into drain pan. 3. Disconnect engine-driven fuel pump hose (4) from fuel filter assembly (6). 4. Remove two screws (10), washers (9), lockwashers (8), and nuts (7) and fuel filter assembly (6) from bracket (1). Discard lockwashers. Change 1 4-72
