Use grinding equipment marked FOR MAGNESIUM GRINDING ONLY.b. Use a suitable coolant when grinding magnesium to keep temperatures below ignition point.c. Keep tools used on magnesium sharp.WARNINGWater and foam-type fire extinguishers will cause magnesium fires to flare up. Use a Class Dfire extinguisher or a sodium chloride base dry powder to fight magnesium fires.d. Keep a Class D fire extinguisher nearby for use on magnesium fires.e.
