Work from center of patchoutward.KLMNOPQPlace piece of release film on patch and, with hardwooddepressor, work out air pockets. Work from center of patchoutward.Remove release film.Repeat steps J-L for second patch application.Saturate remaining patches with mixture without silica andapply to crater.Allow completed patch to set undisturbed for 16 to 24 hours.NOTECure will be slow in temperature below 70°F.However, during first hour of cure, temperatureshould not exceed 100ºF.To reduce cure time to about 4 hours, place heatlamp over patch and gradually increase intensity.Keep lamp at least 2 feet away from patch. Do notallow temperature to exceed 250°F.When cure is complete, and patch flush with surrounding sur-face, clean and paint with fire retardant paint (item 57, Appx B).Pressure test the repaired tank using low pressure compressedair at 3 psi.TA57373
