APU COMPARTMENT SOUNDPROOF PANELS: REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONREMOVALNOTESTo remove rear panel remove: APU fuel filters(p 13-16), hydraulic pressure switch (p 13-17),APU ground lead (p 13-1) and hydraulic lines andelbows (p 13-1).To remove right side panel remove: APU fuellines and elbows (p 13-26).The following procedures apply to all soundproofpanels in APU compartment. Do not removeAPU to replace APU door soundproof panel.A Remove APU from vehicle (p 13-1).BPull and scrape defective panel off interior wall or side doorof APU compartment.C Thoroughly clean adhesive from wall or door area with dry-cleaning solvent (item 19, Appx D) and clean, dry rags (item50, Appx D). Be sure to remove all particles.INSTALLATIONAApply thin coat of adhesive (item 4, Appx D) to back(smooth, non-matted) side of soundproof panel.B Allow adhesive to dry until tacky.C Mount panel to wall or door panel.NOTEFor best installation results, pressure should beapplied evenly to all outside surfaces.TA30997913-33TM 9-2350-267-20
