REMOVAL
WARNING
Hanging loads, heavy parts, and overhead equipment can fall unexpectedly and kill or injure

Stay clear of hanging loads, heavy parts, and overhead equipment. Use correct lifting devices.
Always have helper guide heavy parts and equipment.
1.
Remove inboard armor shield. Have helper assist.
a.
Remove two screws (1) and washers (2) from two angle brackets (3) at top of inboard armor shield (4).
b.
Lower shield (4).
c.
Remove three screws (5), locknuts (6), six washers (7), and inboard shield from three hinge assemblies (8).
Discard locknuts.
d.
Remove four screws (9) and washers (10) securing two angle brackets (11) and shims (12) to shield (4).
e.
Remove six screws (13) and flat washers (14) securing three hinges (8) and shims (15) to hull.
2.
Remove outboard armor shield. Have helper assist.
a.
Remove ten screws (16), washers (17), and outboard shield (18) from hull.
b.
Remove nut (19), lockwasher (20), washer (21), and eyebolt (22) from outboard shield (18). Discard lockwasher.
