INITIAL SETUP: Maintenance Level Unit Tools and Special Tools General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0541 00, Item 57) Materials/Parts Lock nut Lock washer (2) Personnel Required Unit Mechanic Helper (H) References See your -10 Equipment Condition Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Hoist removed (WP 0484 00) REMOVAL NOTE There are two beam supports. They are each removed and installed the same way. 1. Remove screw (1), lock nut (2), and two center stops (3) from beam (4). Discard lock nut. NOTE Beams are heavy and awkward. Use helper to remove and install beams. 2. Loosen beam lock (5) on each beam support (6). Slide beam (4) out of supports. 3. Turn retaining pin handle (7) of retaining pin (8) up and pull pin from beam support (6). Remove support from bolt-on bow support (9). 0483 00-1
