REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT HEATER EXHAUST SYSTEM (M548A3) — Continued

REMOVAL
1.
Loosen clamp (1) and clamp (2) and remove exhaust pipe (3) with adapter (4) from coolant heater (5) and exhaust
housing.
2.
Loosen clamp (6) and remove adapter (4) from exhaust pipe (3).
3.
Loosen clamp (7) and remove cap (8) from exhaust housing.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install cap (8) and clamp (7) on exhaust housing. Tighten clamp.
2.
Install adapter (4) and clamp (6) on exhaust pipe (3). Tighten clamp.
3.
Align adapter with exhaust housing and exhaust pipe with coolant heater (5). Tighten clamp (1) and clamp (2).
FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS
1.
Install top left access grille (see your -10).
2.
Connect both battery negative leads (WP 0292 00).
