ADJUSTMENT
1.
Adjust pivot steering brake controls and linkage adjustment as follows:
a.
Loosen jam nut (1). Adjust rubber bumper (2). Turn rubber bumper so front edges of hand levers (3) and hand
lever (4) are 3 1/4 inch (8.3 cm) behind front edges of two master cylinders (5). Tighten jam nut (1).
b.
Loosen two jam nuts (6) on two rod end bearings (7).
c.
Remove two screws (8), washers (9), and lock nuts (10) securing two rod end bearings (7) to two outer shaft levers
(11). Discard lock nuts.
d.
Push hand lever (3) and hand lever (4) completely forward. Pull two outer shaft levers (11) rearward until ends of
master cylinder clevises (12) just contact master cylinder pistons (13).
e.
Adjust length of connecting links (14) so two screws (8) will pass freely through two rod end bearings (7) and outer
shaft levers (11).
