REPLACE FINAL DRIVE PINION OIL SEAL -- Continued

INSTALLATION
1.
Put sealing compound on outer surface of new seal (6). Install seal in cover (3).
2.
Put a light coat of antiseize compound on threads of seven screws (1).
3.
Place new gasket (4) and cover (3) on final drive (5). Secure with seven screws (1) and washers (2).
4.
Tighten seven screws (1) to 40-42 lb-ft (54-58 Nm) torque.
FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS
1.
Install final drive yoke (WP 0333 00), (WP 0334 00), or (WP 0335 00).
2.
Install left or right center floor plate (WP 0394 00) or (WP 0395 00).
3.
Road test carrier (WP 0128 00) to check final drive pinion oil seal for leaks.
