INSTALLATION
1.
If installing replacement generator, remove lock nut (1) and washer (2) from generator (3). Install key (4), pulley (5),
washer (2), and lock nut (1), in that sequence on generator shaft. Tighten lock nut to 70-75 lb-ft (95-102 Nm).
2.
Position generator (3) on mount (6). Have helper assist. Secure with two screws (7), three washers (8), and two new lock
nuts (9). Do not tighten until drive belt is adjusted.
3.
Secure turnbuckle (10) to generator (3) with screw (11), washer (12), spacer (13), and two washers (14).
4.
Connect ground lead (15) to generator (3). Secure with new lock washer (16) and nut (17).
5.
Connect wiring harness (18) to generator (3).
FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS
1.
Install and adjust generator drive belts (WP 0245 00).
2.
Connect both battery negative leads (WP 0292 00).
3.
Start engine (see your -10).
4.
Check generator output for proper operation.
5.
Stop engine (see your -10).
6.
Install hull bottom access cover (WP 0383 00).
7.
Install power plant rear access panel (see your -10).
