INSTALLATION
NOTE
Upon installation of engine coolant heater the damper lever should be moved from open to
closed (vertical) position. If the engine coolant heater is not installed, the damper lever should
remain in the open position. The damper lever can be accessed only when the power plant is out
of the carrier.
1.
Install damper lever screw (1).
2.
Install mounting bracket (2) on duct assembly (3) and secure with two screws (4), four washers (5), and two new lock
nuts (6). Tighten screws to 25 to 27 lb-ft (34 to 37 Nm) torque.

Position air cleaner (7) on duct assembly (3) and secure with 10 screws (8), 20 washers (9), and 10 new lock nuts (10).
Tighten lock nuts to 81 to 91 lb-in (10 to 11 Nm) torque.
4.
Position inlet duct (11) and screen (12) in carrier and install four screws (13), eight washers (5), and four new lock nuts
(6) to secure the upper end of inlet duct to carrier. Do not tighten.
