7-12 AIR CLEANER BLOWER MOTOR RELAY REPLACEMENT.

Initial Setup:
Tools/Test Equipment:
l MASTER switch set to OFF (refer to
l General mechanic’s tool kit (Item 24,
TM 9-2350-287-10).
Appendix I)
l Battery ground leads disconnected
(para 7-41).
Materials/Parts:
l Driver's portable instrument panel removed
l Lockwasher (2) (Item 129, Appendix H)
(para 7-6).
Equipment Conditions:
l Vehicle parked on level ground (refer to
TM 9-2350-287-10).

REMOVAL
Disconnect electrical connector (3) from air cleaner blower motor relay (1).
Remove nut (8), ground lead end (9), and Iockwasher (10) from mount (4). Discard Iockwasher.
Remove nut (2) and relay (1) from driver’s compartment wall.
Remove nut (7), washer (6), bracket (5), three mounts (4), ground lead (11 ), and Iockwasher (12) from driver’s
compartment wall. Discard Iockwasher.
INSTALLATION
Install new Iockwasher (12), ground lead (11), three mounts (4), and bracket (5) on driver’s compartment wall
with washer (6) and nut (7).
Install relay (1) on driver’s compartment wall with nut (2).
Install new lockwasher (10) and ground lead end (9) on mount (4) with nut (8).
Connect electrical connector (3) to relay (1).
