This preventsbuildup of static electricity, reducing chance of igniting apropelling charge.• Do not drop or throw projectiles or propelling charges ontoconveyor.• Promptly remove projectiles and propelling charges fromhowitzer end of conveyor. Keep end section underobservation. Turn off conveyor if projectiles or propellingcharges begin to pile up.• Slings are not intended to support conveyor under normaloperating conditions. ONLY if conveyor support strut ismissing or fails may slings be used to support conveyorduring operation. When operating in this mode, avoid suddenmovement of conveyor. Periodically inspect slings andattaching hardware for damage. Notify Unit MaintenanceImmediately upon mission completion if sling damage exists.2-157
