REPLACE M25/M25A1 VFM HEATER (M981A3 ONLY) — Continued

INSTALLATION
NOTE
Apply corrosion preventive compound to all threaded fasteners.
1.
For left side VFM heaters, install VFM heater (13), four washers (11), new lockwashers (10), and screws (9).
2.
For right side VFM heaters, install VFM heater (13), four washers (11), screws (9), and locknuts (12).
3.
Install hose assembly (7) and clamp (6) on adapter (8). Tighten clamp securely.
4.
Install hose assembly (4) and clamp (3) on adapter (5). Tighten clamp securely.
5.
Connect power lead (1) to heater jack (2).
FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS
1.
Connect battery ground leads (WP 0339 00).
2.
Check air flow of NBC System. Follow procedures in TM 3-6680-316-10.
