REPLACE M13 NBC HEATERS (M1068A3 ONLY) — Continued

INSTALLATION
NOTE
To ensure electrical ground, verify entire contact area of lockwasher is free of paint.
1.
Install jumper (20) on front or rear heater (3) or (4) with screw (18) and new lockwasher (19).
2.
Install two adapters (17) on front or rear heater (3) or (4).
3.
Install shield (15) on front or rear heater (3) or (4) to welded mount (16) with four screws (11), five new lockwashers
(12), four washers (13), and nuts (14).
4.
Install inlet and outlet hoses (9) and (10) on rear heater (4). Tighten clamps (8) on each hose.
5.
Install inlet and outlet hoses (6) and (7) on front heater (3). Tighten clamps (5) on each hose.
6.
Install circuit leads 537D and 537E (1) and (2) on front and rear heaters (3) and (4).
7.
Install two adapters (1) on commander’s heater (2).
8.
Install four screws (3), new lockwashers (4), and commander’s heater (2) on foreward bulkhead.
9.
Install inlet and outlet hoses (5) and (6) on commander’s heater (2). Tighten clamp (7) on each hose.
10. Install circuit lead 537B (8) on commander’s heater (2).
11. Install two adapters (9) on driver’s heater (10).
12. Install four screws (11), new lockwashers (2), jumper(18), and heater (10) on frame (13).
13. Install jumper (18) to hull with washer (21), new lockwasher (20), screw (19) and new locknut (22).
14. Install inlet and outlet hoses (14) and (15) on heater (10). Tighten clamp (16) on each hose.
