If installing a new heater,remove the controller portion from the heater and adjust the adapters for routing.NOTETo insure a good electrical ground, remove paint from around mounting hole. Install toothedwasher against surface where paint was removed, then ground lead terminal. The longer screwis where the combined ground leads are secured. Do not include both ends of the driver’sheaters ground lead terminal to the same location.1. If installing a new heater, disassemble the controller from the heater body. Discard the hardware securing the controllerto the heater and use the hardware listed in TM 9-2350-277-24P for securing the controller.2. Install two screws (22), four washers (24), two lockwashers (26), two nuts (27), and driver’s heater (4) on welded mount.3. Install screw (22), ground lead terminal (23), new lockwasher (26), washer (24), new lock washer (26), and nut (27)securing the driver’s heater (4) on welded mount.4. Install the longer screw (22), three ground lead terminals (23), new lock washer (26), washer (24), new lockwasher (26),and nut (27) securing the driver’s heater (4) on welded mount.5. Install driver’s outlet hose (20) and driver’s inlet hose (21) on driver’s heater (4) and tighten clamps (19).6. If removed, install two screws (14), new lockwashers (15), washers (16), bracket (13) on bulkhead.7. Install four screws (10), four new lockwashers (10), four washers (12), one ground lead terminal (6), one new lockwasher(11) as shown in the art, and driver’s controller (2) on bracket (13).8. Connect two leads (3) to driver’s controller (2) and driver’s heater (4).9. Connect lead 537B (1) to driver’s controller (2).0794 00-4
