INITIAL SETUP: Maintenance Level Unit Tools and Special Tools General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0926 00, Item 65) Materials/Parts Grommet Locknut Lockwasher Lockwasher (8) Personnel Required Signal Support System Specialist 31U10 References See your -10 TM 3-1040-283-10 Equipment Condition Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Circuit breaker CB1 OFF (TM 3-1040-283-10) Battery ground strap disconnected (WP 0337 00) NOTE Before you do any maintenance, discharge all capacitors to ground. REMOVAL 1. Disconnect cable assembly (1) from control panel assembly connector 1J1 (2). 2. Remove screw (3), two washers (4), lockwasher (5), locknut (6), and ground lead (7) from hull bracket. Discard lockwasher and locknut. 3. Remove screw (8), nut (9), and cable assembly (1) from positive battery terminal (10). 4. Remove cable assembly (1) and grommet (11) from battery box (12). Discard grommet. 5. Remove six screws (13), lockwashers (14), and 12 clamps (15) from cable assembly (16). Discard lockwashers. 0757 00-1
