0522 00
12. With ramp lock lever (1) remaining in locked position, adjust clevis (2) 3/16 inch (5 mm) short of pin (4) fitting freely
with arm (3).
13. Release lever (1) and align clevis (2) with arm (3). Secure with headed pin (4) and new cotter pin (5). Tighten
locknut (6).
14. Loosen two nuts (7) on lever (1) and move arm (3) to obtain 3/8 inch (10 mm) clearance between end of clevis (2) and
bulkhead. Tighten nuts (7).
15. Raise and lock ramp (see your -10).
NOTE
Ramp seal should be compressed enough to prevent water leakage, yet without metal-to-metal
contact between ramp and hull. Make linkage shorter to compress seal more. Make linkage
longer to compress seal less.
16. Check ramp for proper seal. Stand inside the vehicle with ramp up. Insert a thick piece of paper or inspection tag
between ramp (8) and hull (9). The paper should slide freely around edge with no metal to metal contact. If ramp is too
tight or too loose, repeat Steps 1 - 16.
