Clean battery with nonmetallic brush dipped in mixture of sodium bicarbonate and water. After foaming stops, flushbattery with clean water. Dry with clean cloth.2. Clean retainers and parts by soaking in mixture of sodium bicarbonate and water. Dry parts and apply epoxy coating.3. See TM 9-6140-200-14 to service batteries.INSTALLATIONWARNINGBattery is heavy and can cause back injury if handled improperly. Be sure to have helper assistto install battery.
