CLEANING
1.
Clean battery terminal lugs, battery posts, grounding bracket on hull, and lead connectors with brush dipped in mixture
of sodium bicarbonate and water. After foaming stops, flush parts with clean water. Dry with clean cloth.
2.
Clean terminals and posts with battery wire brush.
3.
Check leads. Replace worn leads and damaged connectors (WP 0382 00).
INSTALLATION
CAUTION
Battery cells can be damaged if the batteries are hooked up incorrectly. Make sure batteries are
hooked up correctly.
1.
Place terminal lugs (1) on positive battery post (2) and negative battery post (3). Secure with two screws (4) and nuts (5).
2.
Align jumper lead (6) on terminal lugs (1). Secure with two screws (7) and nuts (8).
3.
Install circuit 779 lead (9), circuit 772 lead (10), circuit 778 lead (11), and new grommet (12) in battery compartment.
4.
Install circuit 7 lead (13) and new grommet (14) in battery compartment.
