POWERPACK WIRING HARNESS MOUNTING BRACKET: REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONWARNINGWhen working on vehicle’s electrical system, turnMASTER switch to OFF position. Remove rings,dog tags, and other jewelry. Disconnect batteriesby removing ground cables first. Connect groundcables last when connecting batteries.A Open battery compartment access door and disconnect batteryground cable from negative battery post.BOpen and secure both transmission access doors.CDisconnect STE/ICE wiring harness (1), starter cable connec-tor (2) and master circuit wiring harness (3) at mounting bracket(4).D Remove starter cable receptacle (5), master circuit harnessreceptacle (6) and STE/ICE harness receptacle (7) by removingfour screws (8), four lockwashers (9), four flat washers (10) andfour nuts (11) from each. Discard lockwashers.ERemove two screws (12) and two lockwashers (13) and removemounting bracket (4) from transmission. Discard lockwashers.INSTALLATIONAInstall mounting bracket (4) on transmission with two screws(12) and two new lockwashers (13).BInstall STE/ICE harness receptacle (7), master circuit harnessREMOVALreceptacle (6) and starter cable receptacle (5) with four screws(8), four new lockwashers (9), four flat washers (10) and four nuts(11) for each receptacle.ICConnect STE/ICE wiring harness (1), starter cable connector(2) and master circuit wiring harness (3) at mounting bracket (4).D Close and secure both transmission access doors.EConnect battery ground cable at negative battery post and closebattery compartment access door.TA3127926-18.1/(6-18.2 blank)Change 1TM 9-2350-267-20
