Ensure 1/2-inchto 3/4-inch clearance between sensing elementFRemove cap from straight coupling. Join connector ofand personnel heater exhaust tube.sensing element (1) to straight coupling (2) and tighten.AInstall 22 rubber bushings (5) spacing equally along lengthG Remove cap from elbow coupling. Join connector of sensingof sensing element (1).element (1) to elbow coupling (3) and tighten.BIf removed, install 22 mounting and clip assemblies (3) on 22HInstall powerpack (p 3-1).engine compartment clip assembly mounts, securing eachwith one screw (6) and one new lockwasher (7).CInstall sensing element. Hand shape sensing element (1) tofit in engine compartment. Route sensing element correctlythrough front portion of engine compartment.DAfter sensing element is installed, move rubber bushings (5)on sensing element (1) so each will engage one mounting andclip assembly (3).ESecure sensing element (1) in each mounting and clipassembly (3) by flipping clip over each rubber bushing (5)installed on sensing element (1). Secure clip using quarter-turn fastener (4).CAUTIONRemove locking pin in valve actuator guard ofengine extinguisher cylinder bottle no. 2 (p14-28).
