1. Remove alternator test kit (page 3-64.1).
2. Replace voltage regulator (200 amp) (page 9-40).
3. Repeat charging system operational check
(page 3-64.4).
1. Adjust voltage regulator to 27.9 to 28.1 volts
(page 9-38).
2. Repeat charging system operational check
(page 3-64.4).
3. After slowly raising engine rpms in charge system
operational check, does voltage climb to 32 to 34 volts
and suddenly drop to battery voltage?
GO TO PAGE 3-64.12
