INITIAL SETUP: Maintenance Level Unit Tools and Special Tools General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0541 00, Item 57) Torque wrench (WP 0541 00, Item 69) Materials/Parts Lock nut (2) Shims (as required) Personnel Required Unit Mechanic Helper (H) References See your -10 Equipment Condition Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Top access cover and grilles removed (see your -10) Machine gun mount kit removed (WP 0513 00), (WP 0514 00), or (WP 0515 00) Cab cover removed (WP 0418 00) or (WP 0456 00) REMOVAL 1. Remove 7 nuts (1), screws (2), and 14 washers (3) that attach center of personnel seat (4) to transverse beam (5). 2. Remove three screws (6), washers (7), and shims (8) from transverse beam (5). 3. Remove two screws (9), washers (10), four washers (11), and lock nuts (12) from transverse beam (5). Discard lock nuts. 0385 00-1
