0415 00
INSTALLATION
1.
Install yoke (1) on power takeoff shaft. Secure yoke to shaft by installing setscrew (2) and key (3).
2.
Place one 0.020 inch (0.5 mm) new gasket (4) on power takeoff mounting flange (5) of power takeoff (6).
3.
Place power takeoff (6) on transmission. Place six washers (7) on screws (8). Install screws through power takeoff into
transmission. Tighten screws to 216-264 lb-in (26-32 Nm) torque.
4.
Connect winch propeller shaft to power takeoff (WP 0412 00).
5.
Connect power takeoff control to power takeoff (WP 0414 00).
6.
Place range selector in NEUTRAL (see your -10).
7.
Connect battery negative lead (WP 0292 00).
8.
Place winch drum lever in DISENGAGE (see your -10).
9.
Check power takeoff for operation by pulling winch control handle in cab (see your -10) and listening to power takeoff.
CAUTION
Two gaskets are supplied with power takeoff: one is 0.020 inch (0.5 mm) thick, the other is 0.010
inch (0.25 mm) thick. The power takeoff can be damaged during operation if the wrong gasket
is installed.
10. A whining sound from power takeoff means an incorrect backlash between power takeoff and gear in transmission. Add
0.010 inch (0.25 mm) gaskets, as needed, to stop whining sound.
