INSTALLATION
1.
Apply adhesive to a 2 x 4 inch (5 x 10 cm) area around two pairs of mounting holes where two new gaskets (1) will be
mounted. Apply adhesive to 3 inch (8 cm) area where new gasket (2) will be mounted. Apply adhesive by one of the
following procedures:
a.
Apply a thin, even coat of adhesive to each surface. Allow to dry completely. At installation, wet the surface with a
clean cloth dampened in dry cleaning solvent. Press surfaces firmly together.
b.
Apply a thin, even coat of adhesive to both surfaces. Allow to dry until it is tacky but no longer transfers to finger
when touched. This takes 10 to 20 minutes. (The higher the temperature, the shorter the drying time.)
2.
Apply adhesive to both sides of two gaskets (1) and gasket (2).
3.
Install two gaskets (1) on two pairs of mounting holes and gasket (2) on input shaft (3) on winch.
4.
Apply adhesive to carrier surfaces that will be touched by two gaskets (1) and gasket (2).
5.
Install key (4) on input shaft (3).
6.
Reactivate adhesive on winch and carrier if listed above, is being used.
