Use a lifting device with at least 500 lb (227 kg)capacity to hold winch before removing mounting screws, to prevent personnel injury orproperty damage.4. Remove four screws (1) and two plates (2) from inside power plant compartment.5. Use helper and lifting device to remove winch from carrier. If winch cannot be moved, remove screw (3) from winchtransfer gear case, and insert a 3/4UNCx6 inch screw. Turn screw until winch moves.6. Remove gasket (4) from around input shaft (5). Discard gasket. Remove key (6) from shaft.7. Remove two gaskets (7) from around two pairs of mounting holes on winch. Discard gaskets.0407 00-3
