REPLACE GENERATOR FIELD SWITCH -- Continued

REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect circuit 1A and 1B lead plug (1) from generator field switch (2).
2.
Remove generator field switch (2) from tee (3).
NOTE
Earlier switches may have a threaded pipe plug without a head or no plug at all. Discard the
pipe plug with the switch. Do not reuse pipe plug because it can be installed too deeply and
short out the switch. New switches DO NOT require a pipe plug and washer.
3.
Remove plug (4) and washer (5) from side of switch (2). If replacing plug or washer, discard washer. If replacing
switch, discard plug and washer with switch.
