Do not wear jewelry, necklaces, or watcheswhen working on the electrical system. Keep tools away fromposts, wires, and terminals.1. Batteries are OK.2. If display shows GO, there is a bad connection in the startercircuit. Check cables and connections to starter and repeat test.3. If GO is still displayed, then you may have a very poor battery inthe series pair being tested. Test each battery individually.4. If display shows .9.9.9.9., there may be a bad connection on thebattery being tested. Clean and tighten the connections on thebatteries and repeat test.5. If display shows E013 or .9.9.9.9., the batteries being tested maybe in a discharged state. Check batteries’ electrolyte level; chargebatteries and repeat test.6. If display shows E013 three consecutive times, or ----, or.9.9.9.9. after batteries have been charged, replace battery.7. Clamp current probe between batteries and starter.8.
