TM 9-2350-247-20-1 STE/ICE-R BATTERY TROUBLESHOOTING—Continued 0111 00 2Y 1. Check to see if batteries’ resistance change less than 50 milliohms/seconds. 2. Do batteries’ resistance change less than 50 milliohms/seconds? YES NO 2YN 1. If batteries fail in freezing weather, crank engine for five seconds and retest. This will warm the batteries slightly. 2. See TM 9-6140-200-14 for servicing, cleaning, and changing batteries. 3. Repeat test on this battery. 4. If batteries have been charged and batteries resistance change still exceeds limits, replace battery. 5. Verify no faults found. 3Y 1. Set test select switches to 73. 2. Press and release test button. 3. Is battery internal resistance less than 25 milliohms? YES NO 3YN 1. If batteries fail in freezing weather, crank engine for five seconds and retest. This will warm the batteries slightly. 2. See TM 9-6140-200-14 for servicing, cleaning, and changing batteries. 3. Repeat test on this battery. 4. If batteries have been charged and batteries resistance change still exceeds limits, replace battery. 5. Verify no faults found. 0111 00-2
