ADJUSTMENT
NOTE
The only maintenance the machine gun ring (M66) may require is an occasional adjustment of
the equilibrator spring.
1.
Make sure the travel lock pin is in place.
2.
Check the machine gun with ammunition balance.
3.
Use your adjustable wrench to hold the equilibrator case in position.
4.
Take out the screw and washer, and loosen or tighten the equilibrator spring using the wrench.
5.
Move the equilibrator case until the new hole you want is lined up with the threaded hole in the cradle. Install the washer
and screw.
6.
Repeat as necessary, until the machine gun and ammunition are pretty well balanced.
