15-57. DRIVER’S HATCH COVER CAM LOCK REPLACEMENT.
This Task Covers:

Initial Setup:

Equipment Conditions:
• General mechanic’s tool kit (Item 24,
• Vehicle parked on level ground (refer to
Appendix I)
TM 9-2350-287-10).
• Driver’s hatch cover opened and secured
Materials/Parts:
(refer to TM 9-2350-287-10).
• Cotter pin (Item 26, Appendix H)

REMOVAL
Remove cotter pin (7) from nut (6). Discard cotter pin.
Remove nut (6), lever (8), spring (5), washer (9), and key (2) from cam lock (1) inside driver’s compartment.
Remove bearing (10), two washers (3), spring washer (11), and cam lock (1) from outside hull.
INSTALLATION
Install bearing (10), two washers (3), spring washer (11),
and cam lock (1) in hole (4) from outside hull.
From inside driver’s compartment, install key (2), washer
(9), spring (5), lever (8), and nut (6) on cam lock (1).
Install new cotter pin (7) in nut (6).
FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE:
• Close driver's hatch cover (refer to TM 9-2350-287-10).
