Connect harness 12330252 lead 31 ,to fuellevel switch.2. Install cover to driver’s instrument panelwith six screws.3. Remove armor plate cover from overcool-ing system and exhaust system (refer to TM9-2350-287-10).4. Remove engine grill.5. Remove two self-locking nuts from bar.Discard self-locking nuts.6. Remove screw, washer, and stiffener frombar.7. Remove nut and washer from bar.8. Remove two nuts and washers from ac-cess cover.9. Remove bar, access cover and seal fromheat shield.10. Loosen nut and position tube out of theway.11. Disconnect electrical connector fromtransmitter.12. Remove five screws and washers andground lead from transmitter.13. Disconnect wire 31 from lower fuel tanktransmitter.14. Install a jumper wire into lead 31. Do notground the jumper wire at this time.15. Turn MASTER switch ON (refer to TM 9-2350-287-10).16.
